After a rear end collision a few weeks ago I've been dealing with some lingering issues, funny thing is it wasn't anything dramatic at the time, but now I'm getting neck stiffness and occasional headaches that weren't there before, retty sure it's whiplash setting in.
Anyone here specialize in treating this? I'm curious what the typical recovery timeline looks like and what kind of adjustments or therapies actually make a difference, will I be able to avoid meds cos I do so well with them and I gotta be able to return to work real soon

you know, delayed whiplash symptoms are very common
You absolutely need to see a professional, like a physiotherapist or chiropractor. They specialize in this

A good chiropractor or physical therapist can help a ton, manual therapy, stretching, maybe dry needling, the recovery's usually weeks, not months, and meds aren't always necessary

Hope you recover from this with no problems. I haven't had a problem like this, but I do suffer from headaches and most of the neck exercises that experts recommend for doing at home, especially in the morning kinda help me a bit. They're not miracle workers, but ease off the pain enough to make it bearable. Make sure you're gentle, because the whole point is to relax everything after that kind of an event.

I went through something similar after a low-speed crash. Initially, I didn't feel much, but a week later, my neck was in rough shape. What really helped me was following a gentle daily routine with a physiotherapist, along with some heat treatment and a bit of patience. It took a few weeks, but I managed to steer clear of medication and recovered just fine. I hope your recovery goes smoothly too!
